Indiana Fungi is dedicated to documenting and photographing the mushrooms of Indiana, USA. Focus is on South-Central Indiana; collecting areas include Brown, Daviess, Greene, Jackson, Morgan, Monroe, and Owen counties. Mainly hardwood forests with some pine. Clay/limestone soils. Rich forest humus.

Most of the mushrooms featured at Indiana Fungi can be found across the Midwest, Northeast North America and beyond.

The hope is to showcase the diversity of fungal shapes and forms, to show the array of colors mushrooms exhibit and to reveal the habitats where these mushrooms grow and hide. Images strive to highlight the identifying characteristics of Indiana Fungi. -See you in the woods!
