Indiana Fungi is dedicated to documenting the mushrooms of Indiana, USA. Focus is on South-Central Indiana; collecting areas include Brown, Daviess, Greene, Jackson, Morgan, Monroe, and Owen counties. Mainly hardwood forests with some non-native pine. Clay/limestone soils. Rich forest humus. Many of these mushrooms can be found across the Midwest, Northeast North America and beyond.

The hope is to showcase the diversity of fungal forms, the array of coloration and to reveal the habitats where these mushrooms grow. Images strive to highlight the identifying characteristics of Indiana Fungi. See you in the woods!
