Russula pseudopeckii is found in Eastern North America.
A small to medium sized red Russula. Red cap is sometimes darker towards the center. White gills yellow with age; closely to somewhat distantly spaced. Flesh crumbles when handling older specimens. Yellowish spore print. Stem white, sometimes with pinkish tones. This young example was found with oak, emerging from dry clay soil. Summer.
