Collybia sordida is found worldwide
Collybia sordida is the current name for the sordid blewit, formerly Clitocybe/Lepista sordida. Found in lawns and meadows summer and fall. Pale pinkish spore print. This collection was identified through DNA analysis at Myco Map. Comparing this collection to Collybia nuda, it differs in color, having pink coloration overall (more purple tones in C. nuda); brown stem, usually white or purple in C. nuda); smaller in size, has wider gill spacing and much thinner cap flesh. Gill attachment is more decurrent than observed with C. nuda.
Said to be edible and treated as with any wood blewit recipe.
